Position Summary:
DEPARTMENT: Nursing Staff
REPORTS TO: Nurse Supervisor
CONTRACT LENGTH: 6 months with possible extension
OnSite Safe is seeking immunization/vaccination nurses to join our team. Successful
candidates will perform clinical nursing tasks such as COVID-19 immunization and support duties.
COVID-19 testing at various testing locations and/or during mobile events, education of patients and the community about the importance of disease prevention and health promotion, and other needs related to community nursing and health in Hillsborough County, Florida. Successful candidates will be expected to work meticulously, be diligent, respectful, and personable.
Primary Position Duties:
- Complete necessary paperwork for patients while maintaining health information privacy.
- Appropriately utilize and dress in provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collect nasal swab samples from patients for COVID testing.
- Prepare and administer vaccines to patients.
- Work quickly and professionally, while still being personable.
Education or Skills:
- Current LPN license by applicable state requirements
- Proficient knowledge and skill in administering vaccinations
- Experience with COVID-19 testing is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Experience working in a team environment
- Computer skills required, prior experience with electronic medical record systems preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends and on-call.
- Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the work setting.
- Demonstrated leadership, effective communicator, and excellent critical thinking skills.
