We are looking to add an energetic and talented Structrual Engineer II to our team. We offer the opportunity to collaborate with in-house engineers and architects while working on a variety of projects. Design, team leadership, and project leadership with opportunity to grow and advance within the organization.
Primary Position Duties
- Produce structural design drawings for buildings from various clients.
- Perform structural engineering design and drawing (plans, details, sections) in AutoCAD and REVIT -- including building renovations, new construction.
- Being capable of assisting clients with structural projects in their local office region with the support of senior structural engineers and project managers. Prepare associated calculations, analysis, and reports.
- Ability to assist with building roof and wall structure enclosure engineering designs and problem resolution.
- Collaborate with building design teams across company offices, working with our diverse staff and a variety of clients.
- Perform code research and prepare project specifications.
- Perform site visits, and some travel.
- Interested in working in an energetic growing company and must possess a desire to learn on a variety of projects to advance personal and company goals.
- Communicate with senior structural engineers and project managers.
- Grow in experience level with other staff structural engineers and collaboration with piers.
- Communicate with Engineering Director regarding structural design interests and working together to generate a growth plan.
Education or Skills
- EIT required, PE preferred
- 8+ Years Structural Engineering Experience
- AutoCAD and Revit Exposure
Position Requirements
- Ability to travel within the southeast USA and nationally to go on job sites and ability to go on to US military and other Govt. sites.
- AutoCAD and Revit Exposure.
- 8+ Years Structural Engineering Experience
- Exposure to and interest in learning a variety of structural design and engineering software.
- Prior exposure to and interest in learning the International Building Code, ASCE 7 and UFC’s is a plus.
- Interested in growing knowledge of structural material codes such as ACI, TMS, AISI and NDS.
- EIT required, PE preferred
- Exposure to specifications and interest in learning to edit specifications.
- Self disciplined, hard working, customer service oriented and ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously
- Ability and desire to learn and expand one’s professional skills
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Pre-employment Drug Test and Background Check
- Valid Driver’s License
